Spending time with family and friends by the swimming pool is a great way to enjoy your summer.  However, for Community Association Managers, having a swimming pool on your property is a big responsibility when it comes to safety.  It is important to keep in mind that a person can drown in even a small amount of water.  The Pool & Spa Safety Act was created as a result of 7-year-old Virginia Graeme Baker drowning after she was trapped under water by the powerful suction from a hot tub drain in 2002.  Cases like this can happen in an instant so be sure to follow the proper safety precautions for your Community Association swimming pool.
