• Install at least a 4 foot fence or barrier around the water’s edge to keep small children and pets out of danger
• Learn to swim and be sure to teach your children to swim
• Never leave children unattended around pools
• Learn life-saving skills such as CPR
• Avoid excessive consumption of alcohol around pools
• Always keep life-saving equipment such as life jackets and flotation devices available

In addition, many people overlook the danger in having a Trampoline on their property.  What most people don’t know is that serious injuries can be caused by Trampoline use such as neck injuries, broken bones and sometimes even death.  Below are a few very important tips to consider when using a Trampoline.

• Be sure to position your trampoline on an “energy-absorbing” surface such as grass that is clear of any objects, trees, fences, etc.
• Purchase a frame pad that covers all of the springs
• Loose clothing and necklaces or loose jewelry should not be worn while using the trampoline
• Children under the age of 6 should not use the trampoline
• Only one person at time should use the trampoline
• Dangerous activities such as somersaulting and jumping off of the trampoline should be forbidden
• You should not use the trampoline while under the influence of drugs or alcohol
