Although the Earthquake that hit the East-Coast on Tuesday, August 23rd, 2011 wasn’t deadly, most East Coast insurance clients, and many agents, wondered at some point whether they would be covered for an Earthquake. Many also made a mental note to check their policies and have not done so yet. This is a little reminder to take a look.
This is also a reminder for agents to get in touch with any clients that they have not heard from yet. While you’re discussing Earthquake coverage with them, it may also be a good time to discuss Difference In Conditions coverage (DIC) to fill in any other coverage gaps for anything else that isn’t supposed to happen.
