For those of you who have family members, friends or colleagues who may still be displaced by Hurricane Sandy, FEMA Representatives are working diligently to help. FEMA is looking for affordable housing for these displaced families in Long Beach, NY and other areas affected by Superstorm Sandy. In addition, under the ‘Recreate NY Multifamily Housing Mitigation/Elevation Grant Program’ funding may be available for residential property owners in disaster-declared counties whose property was damaged or destroyed by Superstorm Sandy, Hurricane Irene and/or Tropical Storm Lee. Funding will be provided to assist property owners to cover damages that are outstanding after federal, state, local and private sources have been exhausted.
