Although it has been a rather quiet start to the hurricane season, we aren’t in the clear just yet.  According to Weather.com, “the lull in tropical activity we are currently seeing is something that we would typically expect in July.”  With the peak of the season is approaching, storm activity may be accelerating.  It’s a great time to suggest a coverage review to your clients before a storm hits to assure that they have the coverage they need.  Some coverage’s that are commonly misunderstood by client’s  and vary greatly from policy to policy are:

  • Hurricane/Wind deductibles or exclusions
  • Flood/Water damage
  • Mold coverage
  • Theft
